This webinar provides an in-depth look at the foods that shape our diets and the powerful role they play in our overall health. We’ll explore how food sourcing—from farm to table—can influence nutrient quality and how the foods we choose may affect not only our physical health, but also our mental and emotional well-being.
The course will also examine how symptoms of disease, or “dis-ease,” can be connected to dietary choices and how improving nutrition may help support the prevention and management of chronic health concerns.
Finally, we’ll take a closer look at common nutrition myths, how they have changed throughout our culture over time, and why the foundational principles of functional nutrition remain consistent.
There is so much about oral health that we are not formally taught, and many lesser-known factors can have a meaningful impact on our patients. Maintaining healthy teeth and gums goes far beyond brushing and flossing, and understanding the connection between oral health and whole-body wellness can provide a valuable new perspective.
This class explores the roles that nutrition, blood chemistry, hormones, and vitamins play in oral health, along with holistic concepts such as teeth reflexology, “leaky mouth,” oral probiotics, remineralizing teeth, and hydroxyapatite versus fluoride. While some of these concepts are rarely discussed today, many are far from new—with roots extending back decades or even centuries. You’ll leave with a broader understanding of the many factors that may influence oral health and practical insights for supporting your patients.
